Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements in accordance with IFRS 17 and other reporting standards.
- Execute month‑end and year‑end processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Work closely with actuarial and finance teams to ensure accurate financial modelling and reporting.
- Support audit processes and ensure full compliance with short‑term insurance regulatory requirements.
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:- BCom Accounting / BCom Honours (CA(SA) advantageous)
- 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting within short‑term insurance
- Strong practical experience with IFRS 17
- Exposure to financial systems such as SAP/Oracle/IFRS 17 engines (advantageous)
- Advanced Excel and strong numerical capability
- Solid understanding of technical accounting principles
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Proven short‑term insurance industry experience
- IFRS 17 hands‑on exposure
