We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team for a cloud migration initiative focused on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with DBT, advanced SQL capabilities, and a solid understanding of modern cloud data platforms. This role involves building and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring high data quality, and supporting scalable data solutions within a cloud-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows using DBT.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Support data migration activities from on-prem to Snowflake.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure accuracy.
• Implement data quality checks and ensure performance optimization across pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across multiple environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation of data processes.

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Advanced SQL development and optimization skills.
• Proven experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is advantageous.
• Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, etc.) is a plus.
• Exposure to CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and infrastructure as code principles.
