About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join Outsourcery’s Finance Team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years’ working experience in finance or accounting. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain well-rounded practical experience across finance operations, reporting, and compliance - and can help you fulfil your CIMA practical experience requirements if that is the direction of study you are currently in or interested in moving into.

• This person MUST be based in Cape Town or the surrounding areas (to allow for in-person meet-ups)
  
• You require your own work-from-home setup: laptop, stable and reliable internet, backup power
  
• Only open to South African nationals
  
• Start Date: Jan 2026
  

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  
• Manage the timekeeping system.
  
• Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger records.
  
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations across international entities.
  
• Provide support with year-end audit preparation and documentation.
  
• Assist with ad-hoc projects, analysis, and reporting as required.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a finance or accounting role.
  
• Post-matric finance qualification.
  
• Studying towards CIMA qualification (advantageous).
  
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
  
• Attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  
• Own work from home setup (relevant workspace, computer, strong internet connection).
  
• South African national, based in Cape Town or the surrounding areas (to allow for in-person meet-ups)
