We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance and Payroll Administrator to provide accurate, efficient payroll processing and finance administration support across the business.
The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organised, and detail-oriented, with the ability to support statutory compliance, financial administration, and effective business operations.
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely administration of payroll and related finance processes, while providing reliable support to the business divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end payroll administration, including monthly payroll processing, employee benefits administration, payroll reconciliations, reporting and related employee queries.
Administer accounts payable processes, including supplier payments, reconciliations, supporting documentation and accurate record keeping.
Support statutory and regulatory compliance, including SARS submissions, PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201, IRP5/IT3(a), Easy File and other payroll-related compliance requirements.
Assist with treasury and cash management activities, including payment preparation, cash flow support and bank-related administration.
Prepare and maintain financial reporting information, management account schedules and supporting reconciliations for review.
Support audit and year-end processes by preparing schedules, reconciling information and assisting with auditor requests.
Maintain sound corporate governance, accurate records, confidentiality and compliance with internal policies, procedures and deadlines.
Requirements and Key competencies:
Relevant qualification in Bookkeeping / accounting / payroll or business administration with proven experience in a finance and payroll administration role.
7-10 years’ demonstrable experience in finance administration, including significant hands-on payroll responsibility.
Strong working knowledge of Sage Pastel accounting.
Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processing, payroll reconciliations and payroll reporting.
Strong understanding of SARS submissions and compliance, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201, IRP5/IT3(a), Easy File and related payroll tax matters.
Experience with CIPC submissions and statutory compliance requirements.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations, reporting schedules and data accuracy checks.
Excellent interpersonal, telephone, email and in-person communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage deadlines and maintain strict confidentiality.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail and accountability in handling financial and payroll information.
Experience in a multi-company or group environment would be advantageous.
