Job Title: Fiduciary Assistant
Location: Cape Town(Office-based)
Role OverviewAn opportunity exists for a detail-oriented and disciplined Fiduciary Assistant to join a professional fiduciary team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and operational support across fiduciary processes, including safe custody management, correspondence handling, data capturing, scanning, and filing.
This role is structured as a three-year development programme designed to build foundational competence within the fiduciary profession.
Key Responsibilities1. Master’s Office Administration
Prepare and submit correspondence to the Master’s Office
Follow up on outstanding matters until resolution
Attend physically at the Master’s Office or other required external offices when needed
2. Safe Custody Management
Process original documents for safekeeping
Place and retrieve documents from safe custody systems
Ensure all records, lists, and internal tracking systems are accurately updated
3. Correspondence Support
Draft cover letters using approved templates
Manage the Trust inbox and route correspondence to relevant team members
Ensure timely follow-up and distribution of communication
4. Data Capturing
5. Scanning & Filing
Scan all incoming documents and upload to SharePoint
Maintain accurate electronic filing systems
File original documents in physical hard-copy systems
Minimum RequirementsMatric (Senior Certificate)
1–3 years’ experience in a fiduciary environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Advantageous: experience with Xplan
