Job Summary
Assistant Financial Manager A well-established four-star hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Financial Manager to support sound financial decision-making and strengthen overall financial governance. This role is integral to ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial information while contributing to long-term financial stability and effective strategic and operational planning. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and departmental heads, providing meaningful financial insights in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyse monthly management reports Monitor daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes Prepare balance sheet reconciliations Oversee and reconcile bank statements, credit card payments, and petty cash Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth Support the annual audit process and ensure compliance with accounting standards Provide financial guidance and support to department heads and managers Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining financial policies and procedures Perform regular financial analysis to identify variances and make strategic recommendations Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, investment analysis, and cash flow management Liaise with external partners, including suppliers and auditors, to maintain strong working relationships Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar financial role within the hospitality industry Solid understanding of financial principles and accounting practices Proficiency in financial software, including Excel and other MS Office applications Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Exceptional organisational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and a recent profile photo.
