Accounts Assistant | Bryanston

Kendrick Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a client within a luxury hospitality portfolio for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their team in Bryanston.

• Position: Accounts Assistant
  
• Location: Bryanston, Johannesburg
  
• Industry: Luxury Hospitality
  
• Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
  

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
  
• Have strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy
  
• Be organised, methodical and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  
• Have a good understanding of basic accounting principles
  
• Be comfortable working with financial records, invoices and reconciliations
  
• Have strong administrative and organisational skills
  
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  
• Demonstrate professionalism and discretion when handling financial information
  
• Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  
• Ideally have experience within the hospitality, hotel or luxury property sector
  

Key responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with day-to-day accounting and finance administration
  
• Processing invoices and financial documentation
  
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  
• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records
  
• Assisting with reconciliations and general ledger administration
  
• Supporting the finance team with month-end processes
  
• Capturing and verifying financial data
  
• Following up on outstanding documentation and payments
  
• Providing general administrative support to the finance function
  

Requirements:

• Relevant accounting or finance qualification would be advantageous
  
• Previous accounts experience is essential
  
• Strong Excel and computer skills
  
• Excellent attention to detail
  
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  
• A professional and reliable approach to work
