Based in Brits, this role offers the opportunity to partner closely with executive leadership while driving business performance, profitability, financial governance, and operational excellence.

This position is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being involved in the full business value chain, from manufacturing and inventory management through to strategic decision-making and financial leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Reporting

• Oversee the full finance and accounting function.
• Lead monthly management reporting and financial analysis.
• Prepare annual financial statements and statutory reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across the business.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support leadership decision-making.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

• Manage annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Drive cash flow planning and working capital management.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and key business objectives.
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve profitability and financial efficiency.

Operational & Manufacturing Finance

• Ensure accurate inventory management and reporting.
• Oversee manufacturing costing and cost analysis.
• Partner with operational teams to improve efficiencies and margins.
• Analyse business performance and recommend improvements across the operation.

Governance, Compliance & Controls

• Drive strong financial controls and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audit processes and maintain financial integrity.
• Implement and maintain best-practice financial procedures.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support talent development and succession planning initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications

✅ CA(SA) Qualification - Essential

Experience

✅ Minimum 5-8 years' finance experience
✅ Experience within:

• Manufacturing
• Mining
• Engineering
• Industrial or related sectors

✅ Strong exposure to:

• Financial reporting
• Management accounting
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Cash flow management
• Financial controls and governance
• Manufacturing costing
• Inventory management

✅ Proven people management and leadership experience

Technical Skills

✅ Strong financial and commercial acumen
✅ Advanced financial analysis capabilities
✅ Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance
✅ Ability to interpret operational data and translate it into commercial insights
✅ Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
