Minimum requirements
Matric
Relevant qualification (degree) - BCom in Accounting will be advantageous
Completed articles in SAIPA or SAICA
Minimum of 3 years experience
Minimum of 1 year managerial working experience
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and accounting software
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Ability to work independently
Valid driver's license and own vehicle

Duties and responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including the Debtors, Bookkeeping and Accounting teams
Manage, mentor and support finance staff to ensure high performance and professional development
Review and approve reconciliations, journals and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
Prepare, review and analyse monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
Monitor the company's financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management
Ensure accurate and timeous processing of accounts receivable and general bookkeeping functions
Manage debtor collections and monitor outstanding accounts to maintain healthy cash flow
Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and relevant legislation
Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and other financial service providers
Oversee VAT, PAYE and other statutory submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Monitor internal financial controls and identify opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiencies
Approve payments and oversee cash management activities
Analyse financial data and identify trends, risks and opportunities to support business decisions
Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management
Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and supporting documentation
Collaborate with other departments to support operational and strategic objectives
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance department
Perform any other finance-related duties as required by management
Remuneration
R 25 000 - R 40 000 Cost to Company per month
Work hours
Monday - Friday: 08h00 - 17h00
