Minimum requirements
Matric
Minimum of 2 years' financial experience or similar role
Proven experience with SARS submissions, UIF and PAYE
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and Sage
Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Valid driver's license and own vehicle
Ability to work under pressure and work independently
Skills required
Duties and responsibilitiesProcess and maintain accurate financial records and transactions
Capture, reconcile, and maintain accounting records on the company's financial system
Process supplier invoices and prepare creditor reconciliations and payments
Capture customer invoices, allocate receipts, and reconcile debtor accounts
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
Prepare and process journals where required
Assist with month-end and year-end financial procedures
Prepare financial reports and management reports as requested
Process and reconcile petty cash and company expense claims
Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning activities
Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, UIF, and other SARS submissions
Ensure compliance with SARS regulations and statutory deadlines
Liaise with SARS regarding queries, submissions, and audits
Maintain accurate financial records for audit purposes
Assist with the preparation of annual audit documentation and respond to auditor queries
Maintain fixed asset registers and supporting documentation
Process payroll-related information and statutory reconciliations, where applicable
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting procedures
Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
Resolve financial and account-related queries from suppliers, customers, and internal departments
Maintain organised filing systems for financial and statutory documentation
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis where required
Support the finance department with general administrative duties
Perform any additional financial and administrative responsibilities as required by management

Monday - Thursday: 08h00 - 17h00
Friday: 08h00 - 14h00
