Job Summary
Our client in the butchery industry is looking for a motivated Butchery Trainee who is eager to learn and develop their skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to grow within the trade. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and ready to assist with daily butchery operations while gaining practical experience and industry knowledge under the guidance of experienced team members.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric
- Valid driver's license
- Have own transport
- Must be fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (Proficiency in an African language would be beneficial)
- Must be willing to learn
- Should be a hard-worker
Duties will include:
- Cutting, grinding and preparing meats for sale
- Weighing, packaging, pricing and displaying products
- Performing quality inspections on meats and other products
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls
- Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders or payments
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment and ensuring displays are accurate
Remuneration:
R 5 000 - R 6 000 Cost to Company
