Job Summary
Our client, a well-established organisation operating within the agricultural industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Accountant to join their team. This role is based in Addo, Eastern Cape.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Further qualifications and accounting designations would be advantageous
- Minimum three years’ relevant experience
- Knowledge of accounting and other financial principles and practices
- Understanding of sound governance principles and practices
- Computer literacy – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and financial processing/reporting software
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Plan, manage and coordinate finance related activities for the business
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and monitoring actual spending versus budget
- Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts
- Reporting to stakeholders on financial and related matters
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and overseeing the day-to-day cash flow
- Evaluation of control environment, implementing improvements where appropriate
- Providing financial support to the operational side of the business
