Job Summary
This position involves:
Preparing monthly divisional management accounts
Supporting the preparation of dashboards and management reports for senior management
Collaborating with operational and divisional managers to develop and consolidate departmental budgets into an overall company budget
Maintaining and updating forecasts in response to changing business conditions and performance trends
Investigating deviations, and providing clear explanations to management
Performing contribution margin analysis by product, customer, division, and regions to support pricing, profitability, and strategic decision-making
Preparing and analyzing manufacturing overhead costs, reviewing recovery rates, and recommending adjustments or reallocations where required
Monitoring and assessing cost recoveries, recharges, and interdepartmental allocations for accuracy and reasonableness
Analyzing production costs incurred outside the Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring appropriate treatment and recovery
Analyzing multi-currency results, margins, and cost structures to support transfer pricing
Providing ad-hoc financial analysis for decision-making
Supporting internal controls, audits, and governance processes
Contributing to improvements in reporting and costing methodologies
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting within a manufacturing environment
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis
Experience in export-oriented businesses (advantageous)
ERP experience (Syspro, MS Dynamic 365 - Business Central, or similar)
Power BI / reporting tools (advantageous)
Strong management and cost accounting knowledge
Advanced Excel and financial analysis capability
Ability to maintain performance under pressure
Qualification:
BCom Accounting or similar
CA(SA), AGA(SA), PA(SA), ACMA OR CGMA
