Job Summary
Prepare monthly divisional management accounts with clear, insightful commentary
Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods
Support the development of dashboards and management reports for senior leadership
Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Consolidate departmental and divisional budgets into group‑level submissions
Update forecasts based on changing performance trends and business conditions
Conduct contribution margin analysis by product, customer, division and region
Analyse manufacturing overheads, recovery rates and recommend adjustments
Review cost recoveries, recharges and interdepartmental allocations for accuracy
Assess production costs outside the BOM and ensure correct treatment and recovery
Provide management accounting support to foreign distribution entities
Analyse multi‑currency results, margins, allocations and transfer pricing impacts
Compile consolidated local and foreign management reporting for group review
Partner with operations, production and commercial teams to provide financial insights
Support audits, internal controls, governance processes and reporting improvements
Drive continuous improvement using automation, analytics and enhanced costing/reporting methods
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ management accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong costing, contribution analysis and margin reporting experience
Proven budgeting, forecasting and variance‑analysis capability
Experience working with multi‑currency environments and/or export‑focused operations
Strong analytical ability and comfort working with large data sets
Experience supporting multiple entities, including foreign distribution operations
Month‑end reporting experience with IFRS‑aligned processes
ERP system experience (Syspro, MS Dynamics 365 Business Central OR similar)
Power BI or similar reporting tools advantageous
Qualification:
CA(SA) OR AGA(SA) OR PA(SA) OR ACMA OR CGMA OR Degree
Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance
International accounting qualifications equivalent to CA/CIMA will be considered
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
