Job Summary
Duties could include but are not limited to:
manage the full finance function, covering reporting, controls, compliance, cash flow, and operational finance
Ensure accuracy, discipline, and structure across all financial processes
Establish and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and controls
Oversee financial activities across the complete manufacturing value chain
Support operational decision‑making with accurate, timely financial insights
Partner closely with production and operations to improve efficiency and margins
Design finance processes and structures that support business growth and scalability
Anticipate finance needs as the business expands in volume, complexity, or geography
Support strategic planning and long‑term financial sustainability
Negotiate pricing, fees, and payment terms to optimise working capital
Monitor supplier performance and cost drivers
Operate comfortably in an entrepreneurial environment where adaptability is key
Provide commercially sound financial insight to support business owners and leadership
Balance control with flexibility in a fast‑moving, growth‑oriented environment
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 + years years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Full finance function experience including costing exposure
Management experience and exposure
Experience working in a scaling environment
Experience working with suppliers and negotiating fees and contracts
Entrepreneurial mindset, not just wanting to crunch numbers
Qualification:
Minimum of a degree
Completed CIMA qualification OR SAICA / SAIPA articles beneficial
