Job Summary
Job Description:
As the Cost Accountant, your duties include the following:
Maintain accurate material costings for raw materials, components, and subcontracted services
Monitor purchase prices, consumption levels, and key cost drivers
Ensure BOMs are accurately costed, updated, and aligned to production
Support annual budgeting for existing product lines and provide costings for new projects and prototypes
Deliver cost-based insights to support pricing decisions and management reporting
Track material usage, waste, scrap, and rework costs
Develop and monitor efficiency KPIs (yield, scrap rate) and drive waste reduction initiatives
Report variances, budget deviations, and cost-saving opportunities
Ensure contract pricing accurately reflects material, labour, and overhead costs
Upload and maintain contract pricing where required
Maintain units of measure (UOMs) and ensure correct pricing is reflected in the system
Ensure procurement adheres to approved contract pricing structures

Skills & Experience:
5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in understanding BOM’s and costing in a manufacturing environment is essential
Working knowledge of ERP systems (especially SYSPRO)
Advanced Excel Skills
Qualification:
Completed Degree in Cost & Management Accounting
