Job Summary
The Assistant Accountant will assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting while ensuring timely reconciliations and accurate journal processing. The role includes supporting internal and external audits, managing various administrative finance tasks such as expense management, insurance administration, and vehicle‑related financial processes. The candidate will also work within SAP, handle balance sheet reconciliations, prepare month‑end reports, and ensure compliance with financial policies and auditing standards. Additional responsibilities include managing vendor documentation, foreign payment processing, and supporting statutory audit preparation.
Skills & Experience:
Strong reporting ability with high‑quality financial analysis and clarity
Solid financial administration skills, including cost monitoring and adherence to procedures
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel, with strong IT system capability
Knowledge of business compliance requirements, including statutory audit and internal controls
Excellent analytical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Practical working knowledge of an SAP environment, including variance analysis
Strong analytical, decision‑making, and organisational skills
Experience with reconciliations, journals, reporting, and financial administration
Familiarity with compliance standards such as internal auditing, external auditing, and regulatory requirements
Qualification:
B. Com qualification in Accounting or Finance
