Job Summary
This position is responsible for the full accounting function up to management accounts, monthly payroll administration, statutory submissions, financial reporting, and supporting group compliance requirements. The role requires someone highly organised, accurate, and able to manage multiple deadlines while working independently within a small, high-performance team.
Skills & Experience:
Solid full-function accounting experience including journals, reconciliations, cashbook management, month-end close, and management accounts preparation.
Strong payroll processing capability with knowledge of South African statutory submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL, VAT, COIDA)
High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
Proficiency in Excel and experience with an ERP and payroll system
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with auditors, banks, and other external parties
Qualification:
BCom Accounting or National Diploma in Accounting
A professional designation such as SAIPA (Professional Accountant SA) or CIMA (qualified or part‑qualified) is preferred
