Key Responsibilities

Management Reporting & Financial Analysis

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Deliver meaningful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators and provide actionable insights.
• Analyse trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance business performance and profitability.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes across the business.
• Support long-term financial planning and strategic forecasting initiatives.
• Develop financial models to evaluate business opportunities and support decision-making.
• Provide financial input into organisational planning and growth strategies.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with operational and senior management teams to support business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide financial guidance and commercial insights to support informed decision-making.
• Present financial information in a clear and meaningful manner to non-financial stakeholders.

Reporting Innovation & Digital Transformation

• Support the enhancement of management reporting and business intelligence capabilities.
• Contribute to data-driven decision-making through improved analytics and reporting frameworks.
• Assist with the integration of advanced analytics and technology within finance processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting activities.

Financial Controls & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with reporting standards and internal policies.
• Support process improvement initiatives across the finance function.
• Assist with strengthening governance frameworks and reporting accuracy.
• Drive efficiencies through ongoing review and optimisation of financial processes.

Requirements

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification is essential.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Exposure to environmental services, sustainability, engineering, infrastructure, or related industries will be advantageous.
• Experience working in fast-paced and evolving business environments.

Technical Skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
• Experience with reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, or advanced analytics solutions will be beneficial.
• Ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into commercial recommendations.
