Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and reconciliations
- Support month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
- Support audit processes and respond to audit queries
- Assist with VAT submissions and statutory requirements
- Work closely with operations to support accurate financial reporting
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:- BCom Degree in Accounting (essential)
- Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles (required)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Experience within the logistics, transport, or supply chain sector (advantageous)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Good Excel capability and experience working with accounting systems
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage across the business
