Our client, a leading player within the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced
Agricultural Credit Analyst to join their credit team.
This role is responsible for conducting detailed credit risk assessments, analysing financial information, and providing high-quality credit recommendations that support informed lending decisions. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to structure transactions, identify key risks, and ensure compliance with established governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit and financial risk assessments.
- Analyse financial statements, cash flows, and key risk indicators to determine creditworthiness.
- Identify transaction risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed and well-reasoned credit recommendations for approval.
- Support credit committees with insightful and structured credit submissions.
- Assist in structuring transactions that balance commercial objectives and risk requirements.
- Collaborate with business units to deliver viable financing solutions.
- Ensure adherence to credit policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails.
- Provide support and mentorship to junior analysts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit analysis standards and quality.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management will be advantageous.
- 3-5 years' experience in agricultural credit analysis and/or banking.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk evaluation.
- Ability to assess farming operations and agricultural cash flows.
- Experience interacting and communicating with agricultural clients.
- Understanding of agricultural sector risks and deal structuring principles.
- Ability to present and motivate complex credit transactions to stakeholders and committees.
- Strong report writing and credit submission skills.
