Senior Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. Key Responsibilities
Full Finance Function Management
- Manage the complete accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from transaction processing through to month-end close.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all financial records and accounting processes.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure the timely delivery of accurate management and statutory reports.
General Ledger and Balance Sheet Management
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Process journals, accruals, provisions, and correcting entries where required.
- Maintain strong controls over general ledger accounts and financial reporting processes.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cash Flow Support
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support cash flow planning and treasury-related activities.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to assist management with decision-making.
Compliance, Tax, and Audit Coordination
- Ensure compliance with tax legislation and internal corporate policies.
- Manage statutory submissions and reporting requirements.
- Act as a key liaison during external audit processes and ensure effective audit preparation.
Process Improvement and Controls
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiencies.
- Strengthen internal controls and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
Requirements
Qualifications
- BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles is essential.
Experience
- 4–6 years of proven commercial accounting experience post articles.
- Solid experience across the full accounting function, financial reporting, and month-end processes.
Technical Skills
- Strong working knowledge of CaseWare.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Thorough understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting principles.

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
