Job Summary
This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong leadership capability, solid manufacturing exposure, and a passion for building robust financial systems, controls, and insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review accurate financial reports and monthly management accounts.
- Drive and manage the forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis processes.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, SARS and all statutory requirements.
- Oversee debtors, fixed assets, accruals, provisions, and monthly journals.
- Conduct gross profit analysis, KPI reporting, and financial performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and maintain strong internal financial controls.
- Manage cash flow, assist in risk identification, and support mitigation strategies.
- Lead process improvements, implement best practice financial procedures, and optimise systems.
- Provide commercial support and financial insight to operational and executive stakeholders.
- Guide, develop, and train finance team members while responding to ad hoc finance queries.
- Oversee the ERP environment (N4NL/BAAN, or similar systems).
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom degree in Finance (essential).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a management role.
- Strong technical knowledge of VAT, PAYE, SARS compliance.
- Experience with forex transactions (USD, EUR, etc.) advantageous.
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, planning, and organisational ability.
