Job Summary
Take Ownership of the Full Finance Function
A well-established business in the industrial sector is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to take ownership of the finance function across multiple entities. This role is ideal for a proactive finance professional who enjoys working independently, maintaining strong financial controls, and providing meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.Key Responsibilities
✔ Prepare monthly management accounts, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting✔ Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
✔ Manage intercompany accounts and loan balances
✔ Monitor debtors, creditors, and cash flow across multiple entities
✔ Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and support working capital management
✔ Manage VAT submissions, reconciliations, and statutory compliance requirements
✔ Liaise with SARS, auditors, and external accountants
✔ Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
✔ Prepare year-end audit files and supporting documentation
✔ Ensure accurate financial records, journals, and reporting deadlines are met
Minimum Requirements
? BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification (NQF 7)? 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience
? Experience within a multi-entity environment
? Strong financial reporting and financial controls experience
? Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
? Valid driver's licence and own transport
Advantageous
➕ Experience working with Sage➕ SAIPA, SAICA, or SAIBA registration
➕ Experience within the industrial, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or related sectors
