Financial Operations & Control:
- Overseeing day‑to‑day financial activities including payroll, debtors, creditors, banking, and cash flow
- Approving EFT payments, contracts, capital expenditure, and tender vetting within defined authority limits
- Maintaining strong internal controls to reduce risk, prevent fraud, and ensure financial integrity
- Performing and reviewing general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet integrity
Reporting, Planning & Analysis:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, profit estimates, forecasts, and cash flow reports in line with group reporting calendars
- Compiling annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and five‑year strategic financial plans
- Managing year‑end financial packs, tax computations, and audit facilitation
- Monitoring and driving overall company profitability through robust financial analysis
Asset, Inventory & Job Costing Management:
- Managing fixed assets, including acquisition, disposal, and capital investment planning
- Ensuring accurate job costing and inventory valuation
- Overseeing procurement and stores functions
- Coordinating and controlling bi‑annual stock takes
Governance, Compliance & Risk:
- Ensuring adherence to financial legislation, tax requirements, and group financial policies
- Preparing insurance renewal documentation and managing associated financial exposure
- Supporting internal and external audits and responding to findings effectively
- Driving BBBEE financial targets and compliance reporting
Leadership & Stakeholder Support:
- Leading, developing, and performance‑managing the finance team
- Supporting HR‑related financial requirements including EE reporting, MERSETA, and RMA submissions
- Acting as the financial bridge between finance, operations, sales, procurement, and senior management
- Providing commercial and financial input into tenders and contract evaluations
Systems, IT & Trade Exposure:
- Working confidently within the Syspro ERP environment
- Assisting with IT audits and basic troubleshooting prior to escalation
- Supporting accurate financial recording of import and export transactions in line with regulations
Job Experience and Skills Required:- Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Financial Management
- Approximately 5 years’ experience in a financial management role within a manufacturing, repairs, or services environment
- Strong working knowledge of Syspro ERP
- Solid understanding of the SEIFSA Main Agreement and industrial HR environments
- A hands‑on, solutions‑driven approach with strong leadership and communication skills
