Our client is a well established organisation within the distribution environment with a strong operational footprint and structured group finance function.

The Financial Manager role reports directly to the Group Financial Manager and Operations Manager and plays a key role in supporting business performance within a defined division.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the financial management function for the division while providing commercial insight and strong financial control. This role includes direct management of one finance team member and close collaboration with operational leadership.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on Financial Manager who enjoys working in a fast paced commercially driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
Overall financial management of the division including reporting budgeting and forecasting
Providing commercial support to operations and senior management
Analysis of financial performance with actionable business insights
Ensuring strong financial governance controls and compliance
Managing and developing one direct report
Supporting group finance requirements and reporting timelines
Partnering with supply chain or distribution operations to drive profitability

Job Experience and Skills Required
Education
Relevant finance or accounting degree
Experience
Proven experience in a Financial Manager role
Strong commercial finance background
Experience within distribution direct supply chain or similar environments
Ability to engage with operational and non finance stakeholders
People management experience with at least one direct report

Skills and Competencies
Strong commercial and analytical thinking
Excellent communication and business partnering skills
Hands on approach with strong financial control orientation
Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment
Strong Excel and financial system proficiency
