Job Summary
This position plays a key role in managing core accounting functions within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full operational accounting up to trial balance
- Manage local and foreign creditors, ensuring accurate processing and timely payments
- Oversee billing, collections and support cash flow management
- Perform bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
- Drive month-end close, reporting packs and variance analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and spend monitoring
- Partner with operations and procurement teams to support cost control initiatives
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and regulatory requirements
- Act as a key finance contact for operational teams
- Support audits, system implementations and process improvements
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis and finance projects
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance (essential)
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles with a minimum of 2 years post-articles experience
OR - Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience if articles were not completed
- Proven experience working in a multinational or multi-entity environment
- Strong operational accounting experience up to trial balance
- Exposure to creditors, billing, collections and month-end reporting
- Experience within travel, tourism, hospitality or similarly operational industries advantageous
- Solid MS Excel skills and experience working on SAP or Navision (essential)
- Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
- Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
