They are seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to join their Operations team and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of investment administration processes.
This position is responsible for the accurate processing of transactions, reconciliations, payment administration, and regulatory reporting support while maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity and risk management.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, service providers, and client-facing teams to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:- Execute and settle investment trade instructions accurately and within agreed turnaround times.
- Process model portfolio instructions, fund ballots, mergers, and daily bulk operations.
- Capture and process income distributions across funds and client portfolios.
- Perform daily and monthly bank account reconciliations.
- Conduct asset-versus-liability reconciliations and resolve exceptions timeously.
- Process adviser, administration, tax, withdrawal, and premium payments.
- Support regulatory and tax reporting requirements, including SARS submissions and tax certificate processes.
- Assist with CRS and FATCA preparation and submissions.
- Investigate, identify, and escalate operational risks and processing errors.
- Participate in testing system enhancements, platform upgrades, and new product implementations.
- Maintain standard operating procedures and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Manage operational queries from internal stakeholders, advisers, clients, and external service providers.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with custodians, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Job Experience and Skills Required:- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Investment Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in investment administration within a LISP environment.
- Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and fund administration.
- Knowledge of FSCA, SARS, FICA, CRS, and FATCA regulatory requirements.
- Experience with investment lifecycle and operational processes.
- Proficiency in TAU and other investment administration systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of investment-related tax reporting and tax certificate processes.
- Excellent reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
