Job Summary
A leading organisation within the travel and tourism sector is seeking a high-calibre Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team.
This role extends beyond traditional financial reporting and offers the opportunity to function as a true commercial partner to the business. Acting as the financial lead for one of the group's divisions, you will play a key role in strategic decision-making, operational performance, financial governance and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the finance lead for a business division within the group
- Provide strategic financial and commercial support to executive management
- Drive financial performance, profitability and business growth initiatives
- Review monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Ensure strong financial governance, controls and compliance
- Lead and mentor senior finance professionals, including Financial Managers and Senior Accountants
- Provide financial modelling, business analysis and decision-support reporting
- Partner with operational leaders to improve business performance
- Manage audit processes and stakeholder relationships
- Support long-term strategic planning and business initiatives
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education
- CA(SA) qualification is essential
Experience
- Minimum 5 years post-articles experience
- Proven Financial Controller, Head of Finance or Senior Finance Management experience
- Experience managing senior finance staff
- Demonstrated ability to operate at a strategic and commercial level
- Experience within the travel, tourism, hospitality or service sectors advantageous
- Strong reporting, forecasting and financial leadership experience
