The successful candidate will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, financial reporting, VAT compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis while supporting the broader operational requirements of the business. This role also offers exposure to staff supervision and profitability reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full finance function
- Oversee cashbook, debtors, and creditors
- Process journals and maintain the general ledger
- Prepare trial balances and management accounts
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Support year-end audit requirements
- Manage VAT and SARS compliance
- Perform job costing and profitability analysis
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Supervise and support finance administration staff
- Maintain and improve financial controls and reporting processes
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- Minimum 4 years' accounting experience
- Full finance function experience
- Financial reporting and reconciliation experience
- Budgeting and forecasting exposure
- Audit support experience
- Costing and profitability analysis experience advantageous
- Sage Pastel Partner / Xpress
- Sage Pastel Payroll
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Financial Reporting
- Reconciliations
- VAT & SARS Compliance
- Job Costing
- Budgeting & Forecasting
