You will work closely with the Finance Manager oversee critical finance functions and manage two indirect reports positioning yourself as a key contributor to the finance leadership team.
This role offers hands on responsibility technical depth and visibility at senior level and is an ideal platform for career progression within manufacturing finance.

Key Responsibilities
Full function financial accounting including month end and year end processes
Advanced costing and cost analysis with a strong focus on ABC costing materials
Oversight and review of debtors and creditors functions
Supporting and acting as 2IC to the Finance Manager ensuring continuity of financial operations
Management and development of two indirect finance staff
Assistance with audits reporting and finance process improvement initiatives

Job Experience and Skills Required
Education
BCom Degree Accounting or Finance
Experience
Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or Financial Accountant role
Manufacturing or cost driven environment exposure
Strong experience in full function financial accounting
Exposure to ABC costing preferably materials or production focused
Experience overseeing or supporting finance team members
Skills and Competencies
Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to operate independently and support senior finance leadership
Strong Excel and accounting system proficiency
Deadline driven with excellent organisational skills
