A well-established and fast-paced organisation is looking for an experienced
Financial Controller to take full ownership of its finance operations.
This role is ideal for a detail-driven leader who enjoys driving accuracy, improving processes, and providing strategic financial insight. You will be instrumental in maintaining financial integrity while leading a high-performing team within a complex, multi-entity environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take accountability for full financial close cycles (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Maintain integrity of financial data by ensuring accurate reconciliations, trial balances, and records
- Ensure adherence to IFRS standards and tax legislation
- Lead audits end-to-end, acting as the key liaison for external auditors
- Oversee cash flow planning, banking activities, and treasury functions
- Supervise and strengthen overall finance operations and team performance
- Manage intercompany accounts and transactions across entities
- Deliver insightful variance analysis to support business decisions
- Coordinate and manage group consolidations
Experience:
- BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- Minimum 3+ years post-articles experience
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a management role
Skills:
- Strong technical understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to manage the full finance function independently
- Experience within project, construction, or intercompany-driven environments advantageous
- Effective leadership and team management capabilities
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
