Job Summary
An excellent opportunity exists for a Chartered Accountant to join a well-established and growing accounting practice. This role is ideal for a newly qualified CA or a candidate awaiting final board results who is looking to gain broad exposure, manage their own client portfolio, and develop into a senior leadership position.

Key Responsibilities
Client and Portfolio Management
Independently manage a diverse portfolio of accounting clients across various industries
Plan and manage accounting, tax, and statutory deadlines
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships
Team Leadership and Review
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior accountants and SAIPA trainees
Ensure all work meets professional standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality controls
Support the ongoing development and performance of team members
Accounting, Tax, and Compliance
Oversee monthly accounting processes and preparation of management accounts
Manage VAT calculations, submissions, and compliance
Prepare and review income tax and provisional tax submissions
Handle SARS registrations, submissions, and disputes
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, relevant Tax Acts, and statutory regulations
Assist with financial statements, audits, and year-end reporting
Payroll and Statutory Oversight
Oversee payroll processing and statutory deductions including PAYE and UIF
Ensure accurate and timely payroll submissions and compliance with SARS requirements
Business and Process Improvement
Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Assist with business development, proposals, and expansion of existing client relationships
Contribute to improving internal systems, processes, and workflows
Minimum Requirements
Chartered Accountant CA(SA), newly qualified or awaiting registration
Final board exam written
One to three years post-articles experience
Experience in both audit and accounting environments
Completed undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Accounting
Advantageous
Own reliable vehicle for occasional client visits
Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office proficiency
