Job Summary
Join a well-established and respected organisation operating within South Africa's clothing, textile, and manufacturing sector, playing a critical role in supporting employers, employees, and industry stakeholders through the administration of employee benefits, compliance frameworks, and retirement fund structures.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the general ledger and accounting records
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Draft annual audited financial statements
- Coordinate and manage audit preparation and audit finalisation processes
- Prepare and monitor the annual budgeting process
- Manage and administer Provident Fund accounting and reporting activities
- Utilise and maintain financial information within EB Spheres software
- Review and compile daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
- Analyse financial information and provide management with meaningful insights
- Handle and resolve financial queries and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and financial controls
- Support process improvements and maintain strong governance standards
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- BCom Accounting
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Accountant role
- Extensive experience with Provident Fund accounting and reporting
- Experience preparing annual financial statements and managing audits
- Experience with budgeting and monthly management reporting
Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Extensive experience with Pastel Accounting
- Experience working on EB Spheres software (essential)
- Strong financial reporting, analytical, and modelling skills
Non-Negotiables:
- Proven Provident Fund experience
- EB Spheres experience
- Strong leadership and delegation capabilities
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements
