Financial Projects Manager to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation. This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who is passionate about business transformation and enjoys driving initiatives that improve performance, strengthen governance, and support sustainable growth.
Working closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders across the business, you will lead finance-related projects from inception through to implementation, helping optimise processes, improve reporting capabilities, enhance controls, and support strategic objectives across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities
Finance Transformation & Project Delivery
- Lead and execute strategic finance and business transformation projects across the organisation.
- Manage project plans, timelines, resources, risks, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Drive initiatives focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and business performance enhancement.
- Ensure successful project delivery in line with agreed objectives and timelines.
- Support organisational change initiatives and finance transformation programmes.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Evaluate existing finance processes and identify opportunities for optimisation.
- Drive automation and standardisation initiatives across finance operations.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to address operational inefficiencies and recurring issues.
- Support system enhancements and technology-driven solutions that improve financial performance and reporting accuracy.
- Champion continuous improvement across finance and operational processes.
Financial Governance & Controls
- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks across the business.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and reporting standards.
- Support audit processes and oversee the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.
- Monitor and manage financial risk through enhanced control environments.
Strategic Finance & Business Support
- Analyse financial information to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of risk.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Assist with annual financial statements, financial reviews, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Partner with leadership teams to align project outcomes with broader business objectives.
- Support the implementation of initiatives that drive profitability and long-term business value.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong partnerships with finance, operational, and executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure successful project execution and business alignment.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members involved in project delivery.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on finance transformation initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications
- CA(SA) qualification is essential.
- Relevant Finance, Accounting, or Commerce degree.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Financial Management.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in:
- Finance Transformation
- Business Improvement Projects
- Process Optimisation
- Financial Controls
- Project-Focused Finance Environments
- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and managing diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong exposure to finance process improvement and change management initiatives.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, governance, and risk management.
- Experience with business process redesign and finance transformation projects.
- Exposure to automation and systems improvement initiatives.
- Strong financial reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
