Provincial Finance Manager to join a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced and purpose-driven environment. This role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for regional financial operations while ensuring strong governance, compliance, financial control, and reporting standards.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, providing financial oversight, managing support staff, and ensuring the effective implementation of financial processes and procedures across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Take ownership of the full financial accounting function within the region.
- Ensure the accurate processing and recording of financial transactions.
- Maintain complete records of source documents, audit trails, and financial documentation.
- Prepare and review financial reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Financial Controls & Compliance
- Implement and maintain effective accounting controls and financial systems.
- Ensure financial processes are executed in line with company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor compliance and identify opportunities to strengthen financial governance.
- Support audit requirements and maintain accurate financial records.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Manage budgets and monitor expenditure against approved allocations.
- Assist with financial forecasting and planning activities.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Ensure effective utilisation of resources and sound financial management practices.
Team Leadership & Operational Support
- Lead, manage, and develop finance and administrative support staff.
- Drive accountability, performance, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Coordinate finance-related activities across the region.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on financial matters.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in financial management.
- Proven budget management experience.
- Previous team leadership or staff management experience.
- Experience overseeing the full finance function and financial controls.
Technical Skills
- Experience with Pastel Evolution or a similar ERP/accounting system.
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel.
- Sound understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
