6-Month Contract (Maternity Cover) | ABSA | Immediate Start
A leading financial services environment requires a highly experienced Senior Manager: Service Management to join their People & Culture function on a 6-month maternity cover contract.
This is a high-impact contract role suited to a strong operational leader with proven experience driving service management frameworks, SLA governance, stakeholder engagement, reporting, service improvement and operational excellence within large corporate or banking environments.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery, optimisation and governance of People Function services across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the People Function Service Management framework across the business
- Drive service strategy, service design and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee SLA management, service reviews, escalation management and governance processes
- Develop and maintain detailed service catalogues and operational frameworks
- Manage service performance reporting, dashboards, analytics and business insights
- Partner with key business stakeholders, Finance, HR and service delivery teams
- Facilitate service transition, change management and operational readiness activities
- Drive service delivery optimisation and process improvement initiatives
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions and quarterly service reviews
- Monitor service risks, governance and compliance requirements
- Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to service management teams
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, HR or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in Service Management, HR Operations or Shared Services environments
- Strong experience within large corporate or financial services environments
- Proven experience managing:
- SLA governance
- Service delivery frameworks
- Stakeholder engagement
- Service reporting and analytics
- Escalation management
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical, relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly governed enterprise environment
Highly Advantageous
- Banking or financial services experience
- Exposure to HR Shared Services or Human Capital Operations
- Experience with service performance dashboards and reporting tools
- Knowledge of service management best practices and governance frameworks
