Job Summary
The Tax Administrator plays a central role in managing tax compliance and CIPC secretarial obligations on behalf of GAS Accounting's diverse SME client base. Based full-time at our Sandton head office, this role is responsible for preparing and reviewing income tax returns (VAT, corporate and personal), corresponding directly with SARS, and staying on top of statutory filing deadlines to ensure clients remain compliant and enjoy peace of mind.Key Responsibilities
- Correspond with SARS
- Assist with SARS and general tax queries
- Assist with ad hoc tax tasks
- Maintain a good understanding of SARS procedures
- Assist with CIPC filing
- Investigate and identify requirements to address process or system constraints resulting in CIPC and SARS non-compliance
- Quality review of all CIPC and SARS communication
- Keep up to date with changes to legislation relating to the Income Tax Act and advise the business on the practical impact of the changes
- Work under pressure with deadlines in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional quality work
- Maintain all relevant corporate registers, including share registers, director registers and member registers
- Assist with tax and secretarial compliance of companies
- Manage beneficial ownership disclosures for different entity types at CIPC and/or the Master of the High Court
- Update electronic company registers
- Prepare and maintain resolutions relating to registration and amendments
- Bcom Degree - Finance, Accounting or Taxation
- At least 3 years experience within a similar role
