PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a young, eager and tech-savvy finance professional to own and lead the
finance function of an audit firm across multiple entities, with support from the COO. You
will translate firm data into meaningful insight and grow into a future Financial Director.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and lead monthly management accounts across multiple entities for the COO.
Translate financial data into clear, meaningful reports for firm leadership.
Lead group consolidation including intercompany reconciliations.
Own all SARS compliance across entities: VAT, PAYE and income tax.
Lead annual financial statements preparation and external audit coordination.
Build and maintain financial models including scenario and M&A analysis.
Own the rolling cash flow forecast and flag risks to the COO proactively.
Oversee creditors, debtors and bank reconciliations across all entities.
Lead the annual budgeting process including departmental submissions.
Enforce internal controls: payment approvals, journals and period locking.
Grow into full ownership of the finance function with COO mentorship.
Liaise with auditors, tax advisors and SARS on all finance matters.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• BCom Acc BCom Fin - SAIPA, AGA(SA), ACCA or CA(SA).
• 3 or more years post-articles, including commercial experience.
• Completed articles: audit background strongly preferred.
• Cloud accounting platform: Xero or equivalent, multi-entity preferred.
• Microsoft Excel: advanced modelling, scenario and M&A analysis.
• Microsoft 365: Teams, SharePoint and Power Automate.
• Financial modelling: ability to build models from raw firm data.
• Management reporting: translates data into actionable insight.
• SARS eFiling: VAT, PAYE and income tax across multiple entities.
• IFRS for SMEs: working knowledge including notes and disclosures.
• Group consolidation: intercompany recons and consolidated reporting.
• B-BBEE compliance: basic Generic Scorecard knowledge advantageous.
