Job Summary
Job description:
Plan and execute risk-based financial and operational audit engagements from inception to completion.
Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across various business units.
Assess operational efficiency, effectiveness, and control environments.
Identify opportunities to improve governance, risk management, and business processes.
Evaluate controls and provide practical, value-adding recommendations.
Perform data analytics and leverage technology to improve audit effectiveness.
Prepare audit findings, reports, and recommendations for management.
Build strong stakeholder relationships while maintaining independence and objectivity.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Internal Audit methodologies and practices.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of Internal Audit experience.
Solid experience performing financial and operational audits.
Ability to independently manage audit engagements from planning through to reporting.
Strong analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Experience with data analytics tools will be advantageous.
Strong financial acumen and operational insight.
Ability to identify key risks and provide practical recommendations that support business performance.
Demonstrated professional scepticism, critical thinking, and sound judgement.
Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Internal Auditing, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
CIA, CA(SA), or progress towards a relevant professional qualification will be advantageous.
