As the current Accountant prepares to retire, the company is seeking to hire a candidate who is looking for their next home, to join them in long term capacity. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in the warehousing and distribution sector, ideally in a medium sized business, to assume overall responsibility for the financial and administrative side of the business.
Minimum Requirements:
Computer literate with experience using Sage VIP and Syspro
Must be “hands on”, willing to get involved in multiple aspects of the business
Competent in managing employees and comfortable with labour relation matters
Duties and Responsibilities:
Full Accounting function
Management and control of the Debtors and Creditors department including nine staff
Stock control of around 8 000 items and twelve staff
Human Resources and Labour relations of full staff compliment
Secretarial and organizational administration
Month end and financial year end reporting and reconciliations
Statutory reporting, returns and submissions
