Description/Synopsis:
Join a well-established, SAIPA-accredited accounting practice in Moreleta Park. This boutique firm offers a close-knit, professional environment where you’ll receive direct mentorship from the Partner. The role suits a graduate accountant completing or registered for SAIPA articles, or a newly qualified SAIPA professional looking for long-term career growth. Expect full exposure across all accounting and tax functions in a hands-on role.
Minimum Requirements:
- BCom Degree in Accounting or similar
- Registered for or completed SAIPA articles
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Due to the Firm’s customer base, candidates are required to be fluent in Afrikaans
- Own transport required
Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly journals and reconciliations
- Handle payroll processing and statutory submissions
- Prepare monthly financial reports and statements
- Manage VAT returns and tax compliance
- Process supplier/customer invoices and payments
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation
- Assist with client queries and tax guidance
- Support the partner with ad-hoc accounting tasks
