Job Summary
Payroll & Accounting Administrator/East London - Must be organized, reliable, and able to handle confidential information professionally, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
1–2 years' experience in payroll administration and accounting support.
Practical working experience on Pastel Payroll and/or Pastel Accounting.
Experience processing payroll from start to finish.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within required deadlines using Pastel.
Capture, update, and maintain payroll information and employee records.
Assist employees and clients with payroll-related queries.
Maintain accurate filing systems and financial records.
Support statutory submissions and payroll compliance documentation.
Liaise with clients regarding payroll and account-related matters.
Provide general administrative support to the accounting department.
Assist with reconciliations and other finance-related tasks as required.
