Job Summary
Urgently needed for a long-term maintenance contract with a major power generation utility in the Mpumalanga/Limpopo region. Multiple positions available. Immediate placement for suitably qualified candidates. Valor Peak Holdings seeks Qualified Petrol/Diesel Mechanics to provide maintenance, repair, and servicing of petrol and diesel-powered tools and equipment for a major power generation utility project on an "as and when required" basis. Scope of Equipment: Petrol equipment: Chainsaws, brush cutters, lawnmowers, generators, water pumps. Diesel equipment: Generators, welding machines, compressors, mobile lighting towers. Power tools: Drills, angle grinders, impact wrenches, crimpers, cut-off saws. Hydraulic/pneumatic tools: Jackhammers, torque wrenches, hydraulic crimpers. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs. Perform engine overhauls, carburettor tuning, fuel system repairs, and electrical fault-finding. Conduct pre-use inspections and compile condition reports. Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and parts usage logs. Order and manage spare parts. Ensure compliance with OHS Act 85 of 1993 and site safety protocols. Liaise with site supervisors and manage turnaround times. Minimum Requirements: Qualified Petrol/Diesel Mechanic or Small Engine Mechanic (merSETA-recognised trade test certificate). Grade 12 / N3 equivalent. Minimum 3–5 years post-trade test experience. Proven experience with 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, diesel engines, and power tools. Valid Code 8 (EB) driver's licence minimum; Code 10 advantageous. Knowledge of OHS Act 85 of 1993.
