Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician with at least 2 years’ experience in an OT environment specialising in access control and Time & Attendance systems. The role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of turnstiles, readers, controllers, and related hardware, as well as basic network support (LAN, IP addressing, cabling). A+/N+ and electronic certification are essential. The ideal candidate is client-focused, able to work independently in the field, and committed to delivering reliable technical support while adhering to safety and service standards
What you'll do:
- Infrastructure Support & Maintenance
- Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of turnstiles, access readers, and controllers.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on T&A hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults in controllers, power supplies, cabling, and peripheral devices.
- Replace and repair faulty devices or components when required.
- Network & System Support
- Perform first-level troubleshooting on network connections (LAN, cabling, switches) related to T&A systems.
- Escalate advanced networking or system issues to support engineers where necessary.
- Verify connectivity between controllers, readers, and backend systems.
- Assist with firmware upgrades and configuration of T&A devices.
- Incident & Request Management
- Log, update, and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
- Provide accurate fault descriptions and resolution details in the ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved or complex incidents to the appropriate support group.
- Collaboration & Client Engagement
- Work closely with system engineers, support engineers, and vendors to restore services.
- Communicate effectively with site operations and security personnel during fault resolution.
- Provide user guidance on basic system functionality when required.
- General Duties
- Assist with inventory and stock management of spare parts (readers, controllers, cables, power supplies).
- Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and onsite support visits.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and client site access requirements.
- Maintain documentation of installations, repairs, and changes for knowledge base purposes.

- Familiarity with system monitoring and ticketing tools.
