Job Summary
Well established engineering firm based just outside of Bedford is seeking a qualified or highly experienced Fitter & Turner/Machinist.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes, milling machines and related workshop equipment
- Manufacture and repair cylinders, bushes and shafts to exact tolerances
- Perform thread cutting and fine machining operations with precision and accuracy
- Carry out welding and fabrication, including CO2, Arc and Aluminium welding
- Interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints with precision
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and equipment care.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Machinist or Fitter & Turner/Machinist
- Sound knowledge of machining principles, tool setup and material properties
- Proficiency in both MANUAL and general workshop fabrication
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Reliable, disciplined and committed to producing quality engineering work
- Own vehicle preferred
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
