Job Summary
Our client in the Engineering Services industry based in Perseverance, Port Elizabeth, is looking to employ a Mechanical Engineer to their team.
Requirements:
- BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience in the mechanical engineering industry.
- Knowledge of electrical systems integration and controls – essential.
- Exposure to refrigeration systems design or maintenance – advantageous.
- Proven involvement in project management (planning, execution, budgeting, timelines).
- Experience in pipe design, including layout, stress analysis, and specification.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for commercial and industrial applications.
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections, feasibility studies, and equipment selection.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Manage and monitor project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with engineering codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Participate in commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance testing.
- Maintain detailed documentation and reporting.
