About the RoleBased in Sandton, this role offers exposure to a diverse range of projects involving reinforced concrete and structural steel design. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to construction support and project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and analyse reinforced concrete and structural steel structures.
Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
Develop practical, cost-effective, and sustainable engineering solutions.
Conduct structural inspections, condition assessments, and recommend repair or upgrade solutions.
Provide technical support and construction supervision during project execution.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Assist with tendering, contractor engagement, and construction management activities.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff where required.
RequirementsBSc, BEng, or BTech Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum 3 years post-graduate structural engineering experience.
Proven experience in the design of reinforced concrete and structural steel structures.
Experience on industrial projects will be highly advantageous.
Proficiency in at least one of the following software packages:
Working knowledge of SANS and Eurocode design standards.
AutoCAD proficiency is essential.
Revit experience will be advantageous.
Strong report writing and technical communication skills.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites when required.
