Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cathodic Protection Technician to join our field operations team. In this dual-role position, you will not only execute critical CP field measurements and maintenance but also be responsible for accurately compiling, analysing, and documenting your findings in formal client reports. Your work will be essential in ensuring the safety, compliance, and longevity of our clients' assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform regular surveys, including structure-to-soil (S-to-S) potential measurements, current output, pipe/cable locating, and close interval surveys (CIS/DCVG).
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cathodic protection systems (both galvanic and impressed current).
Conduct rectifier/transformer rectifier (TR) inspections, meter readings, and basic maintenance.
Perform soil resistivity testing and other corrosion-related field assessments.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements, excavation safety, and client-specific site rules.
Qualifications & Skills:
High School certificate ; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a CP Technician.
Proven experience in writing technical field reports is mandatory.
NACE CP Level 1 certification (or higher) is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
Proficient with standard CP equipment (voltmeters, reference electrodes, current interrupters, etc.).
