Job Summary
A leading player in the paper and pulp industry is seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join their manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical expert who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in keeping complex machinery running at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Repairs: Perform high-level mechanical and electrical maintenance on specialized tissue-making and converting machinery.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment failures quickly to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
Installations: Assist with the installation, commissioning, and testing of new plant equipment.
Preventative Actions: Execute planned maintenance schedules and identify potential mechanical risks before they lead to failure.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
Qualified Millwright: Trade Test Certificate (Section 13 or 26D).
Industry Experience: Proven experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment (experience in tissue or paper mills is highly advantageous).
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic PLC fault-finding.
Work Ethic: Ability to work shifts, handle call-outs, and perform well under pressure during breakdowns.
